Peanut
Cockatiel owned by Lacey
April 17, 1999 to September 23,1999
email: [email protected]
Even though you're gone now, I'll always have you in my heart. You were the kindest pet I'd ever had, and I wish you were still with me so bad. But I know you're in heaven looking down on me. You aren't in a cage anymore, you're flying free.
Andrew
Greenwing Macaw owned by Dakota Wilson
October 5, 1999 to October 7, 1999
email: [email protected]
Andrew, who hatched 2 days before his death, was a very special bird. His egg thrown away and found in an egg shipment box with several chicken eggs. I knew at once you were not a chicken, what you were I didnt quite know. Though I had my doubts I incubated you and hoped you would hatch... to my absolute surprise you hatched! You were adorable and I thought we were to be together forever. But apparently Mother Nature and the Ultimate Being had other plans. Taken from me in a tornado, your small body found in the same brooding box you called home. Inside you were limp and lifeless. I had hoped you would come back to me, but you were gone. There was nothing I could do for you. If I could turn back the clocks, I would have put you in a safer part of the house, you could have survived there. Sometimes I look back on the mental picture I have of you and think it is all a long dream that will surely end sometime ... but it never does. I feel you were taken from me to mak!
e someone else happy in that final resting place. Maybe a small child had to leave the earth and you are there keeping her company. I can only hope, and wonder of where you are. But I am sure you are in peace after the ordeal you endured 2 days into your little life.
You will never be forgotten, nor replaced, Andrew.
We miss you dearly though we only knew you for 2 days.
Love your family,
The Wilsons
American Pride
Black Palm Cockatoo owned by Joseph
December 24, 1960 to March 20, 2000
email: [email protected]
American Pride was a very special bird. He was born on Christmas Eve and was given to me at 5 days old. I hand fed him and raised him up, I taught him to talk, sing, yodel, read some words, and tell apart certain animals. He was very smart and was with me for a GREAT 40 years. I will never forget his morning song at the crack of dawn, nor will I forget the little insults he threw at you when you put him in his cage. He was my best friend, and nothing will even be the same without him.
I will never forget the horrible day we lost it all, including my best friend. A merciless fire took him away from me and my wife ... and nothing can bring him back or even come close to replacing him.
I only hope there is a place where he is free from pain and suffering and is again flying free and with others.

Budgie owned by Sandi

I took Blue in off the streets about two years ago. He was abandoned in a
parking lot by the plaza. He was hand trained and sat on your finger right
away, always liked being out of the cage - never flew very far. He became
very special to our family and will be truly missed.

Daria, my beautiful, loving green bird, I miss you so much. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you, perched on my shoulder, going on vacations with us, riding on the steering wheel and mooching sunflower seeds. I think about you every time I open can of Sprite, and your little beak up there sneaking drink, too. I miss you hollering in the morning for everyone to wake up and start the day. I miss you bossing the cats, throwing peanuts at the snake, taking showers with us. You were such an important part of our families' life, and we love and miss you so very much. See you in heaven, little love.

Benny
Parakeet owned by Jaymi and Robert
August 27, 1999 to December 11, 1999
email: [email protected]
Our Benny was the best bird anyone could've ever hoped for. He used to crawl under the covers with us and snuggle! It was so funny the way he always wanted to be close to us. His wings were clipped so he used to run so fast that we couldn't catch him, so we got him a mini hamster ball so that he wouldn't hide under the refrigerator. His beak was deformed- he had a severe underbite, so he always looked like he was pouting. He was the best bird and we loved him more than I thought I could have.

Our Dearest Tweety,
oh, Little Man if only you could have told me you were ill.
I was not aware that you needed more. I will so miss our "morning" time and the "fits" you'd throw if I didn't give you a bite of whatever I had.
Grandma will miss the way you'd play that kissing game with her, and
Sis will forever miss the way you'd chat with her little feet.
Oh and grandpa, I will never forget how much you enjoyed spending time on his shoes destroying the laces. Pair after pair.

Baby
Died September 18, 1999
A Heavy Pied Cockatiel owned by Phyllis
I'll never forget the day I got you & Larry from your previous owner. They told me they rarely took you out of your cage to play because you were mean. Well, I guess they never tried because you were the sweetest bird in the world. I wish I had known you had a tumor when it first began. Maybe we could have done something to prolong your life. You were a joy to have for the last two years & I'll always remember you with love. Rest in peace, Baby. It's time to frolic at the rainbow bridge with our beloved Sylvester who left us almost one year ago.
